Maoma - (NL)

Live and work in Amsterdam.
Maoma was born in Amsterdam, in 2004. Created and developed by Giulia Laura and Rocco Pezzella, it has been exhibited internationally, in cities such as Berlin, Rotterdam, Brussels, Cologne, Los Angeles, Torino and Barcelona.
Maomaland is an imaginary world, based on soft sculptures, installations and drawings. It combines art and craft, using mostly textile materials and mixing geometrical shapes with the cuteness of characters. Each piece of artwork is a lesson learned. It's all about the process and the next step to achieving the results. This makes the finished artwork much more than an accomplishment. Maoma always learns through doing.
